Our prayers have been answered! Rebecca Black is making a long-overdue return to iTunes with new single “Alive” — the first taste of her debut LP. “So in case you didn’t hear the news…. MY NEW SINGLE, “ALIVE” WILL BE OUT SOON!” she tweeted yesterday (August 31). “Gettttt readdddyyyyyyy y’all!!” Oh, we’re ready. That announcement was accompanied by a photo, which shows off the 18-year-old’s glamorous new image.

This is obviously the music event of 2015. Love it or hate it, “Friday” was a genuine pop culture phenomenon — sparking a heated debate in the media and racking up hundreds of millions of YouTube views. It also sold enough copies to peak at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100, before streaming was incorporated into the chart formula. Every blockbuster demands a sequel and Rebecca obliged by dropping “Saturday” in 2013. Revisit her classic hits below.
