Azealia Banks Calls Out Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift & Miley Cyrus For Making “Basic Ass Music”
Azealia Banks is back at it again on Twitter! The Broke With Expensive Taste artist shared many thoughts with her fans on the social media platform early this morning (September 2) that has led to controversy — something the “Chasing Time” singer is used to.
Banks specifically targets fellow music ladies Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift for making “basic ass music.” “It’s so funny to wake up and see nicki and Miley or nicki and taylor fighting when you ALL make basic ass music. it’s a ki !!!” she tweeted after catching up with the pseudo-beefs that occurred during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend.
She continued with “All of y’all bitches are whack and make boring music and rip all ur styles off the downtown NYC girls” and “Miley Cyrus HAS to know her shit is whack as fuck. It has to be a joke… Isn’t she making fun of herself? Yes? No?” before coming directly for Nicki and her “Katy Perry leftovers”-sounding music.
The three ladies have yet to respond — but with Miley’s New York Times interview still fresh in her mind, Nicki could possibly fire back soon.
