Tamar Braxton dropped by US Weekly to play The Name Game and kept it real. As usual. The “If I Don’t Have You” diva declined to comment when asked about nemesis K. Michelle (silence speaks volumes), but had words to say about Ariana Grande. “She’s talented,” the 38-year-old replies, before adding: “I just have my own opinion because everybody says she’s the new Mariah, but I don’t agree with them because Mariah’s my icon.”

“There’s one Mariah! But Ariana can sing her face off,” Tamar adds laughing. The Braxton Family Values star is currently promoting her third LP Calling All Lovers, which drops September 11. She chose that date for a reason. “It’s a very important day world wide,” the R&B singer explained in a television interview. “I felt like that’s the day you can reflect on your loved ones and to help others.”
