Troye Sivan's 'Wild' EP Teaser Video
Troye Sivan teases the follow-up to mega-successful 2014 EP 'TRXYE'. Watch now.

If you dismissed Troye Sivan as yet another dubious social media sensation, it’s time to admit you were wrong. The 20-year-old debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 with major label debut EP TRXYE in 2014 (not to mention topping iTunes in 55 countries) and could well improve on that with his second effort, which dropped today (September 4). Wild finds the Australian singer/songwriter embracing a brighter pop sound, but the five-song set still tackles issues and feelings than most artists (straight or gay) shy away from.

For those unfamiliar with Troye’s previous work or life story, the title track is a pretty good place to start. On the surface, “Wild” is relatively familiar pop song about young love, but there’s an underbelly of conflict and confusion that sets it apart. The Tim Mattia-directed video, the first part of the “Happy Little Pill” hitmaker’s Blue Neighbourhood trilogy, conveys this beautifully. Watch the gripping narrative up top and download the EP here.
