Hov singing along to Bey's "1+1" = marriage goals. Wise up, Nick Jonas.

Nick Jonas may have Selena Gomez on his mind!

Yesterday (September 6) Nick dropped a new song, “Area Code,” without warning. “You say I’ve never been good for you / You can’t deny I gave it good to you,” he sings about halfway through, and while switching up his melody as if he’s interpolating Selena’s single “Good for You.”

These apparent references were enough to raise some eyebrows. But then on Twitter, the crooner favorited two tweets that linked the two songs together. One of them says, “Oh my gosh. Nick. Selena. Never thought I’d be saying this again!”

Nick briefly dated Selena when they were still Disney Channel stars and Hollywood Records label mates. Selena even played his love interest in the Jonas Brothers video for 2008’s “Burnin’ Up.” Earlier this summer, though, Page Six broke news of of an “uneasy reunion” between the two of them — a report that forced Nick to set the record straight.

“We were both with separate groups of friends and we ran into each other,” Nick said to Capital FM. “I put a dinner together with a bunch of really great people, like the Haim girls, who I love. … It was a big group of people and we all hung out and had a good time. We connect in that sense.”

When asked if he thought of getting back together with Selena, though, Nick said, “It was nice to connect and just catch up. I’ll leave that there.”
