Nicole Scherzinger Interview
We spoke to Nicole Scherzinger about her new LP 'Big Fat Lie.' Find out more.

What does Nicole Scherzinger have to do to get an album released in America? The persistent diva has been trying to beef up her US discography since 2007, but has an unfortunate habit of falling at the final hurdle. Hopefully that pattern will change in 2016. “I’ve got a new deal coming out,” the 37-year-old told HuffPost UK. “It was rumoured all this year that I was dropped and I actually wasn’t dropped.”

“I was signing a new deal, with another label,” Nicole explained. “We’re still working on finalising the contract, which I am unable to speak too much about. I’m really excited about this project and new music that I’m putting together, and which will be released next year.” The hitmaker’s run of bad luck began with planned debut LP Her Name Is Nicole. Despite the success of the Pussycat Dolls and a very good lead single (“Whatever U Like” still knocks), it was never released.

She appeared to be on the right track with 2011 LP Killer Love, which spawned international hits “Don’t Hold Your Breath,” “Right There” and “Wet.” However, it never reached US record stores — a fate that also awaited 2014’s Big Fat Lie. Nicole already has enough material for a greatest hits collection. Perhaps her new label can start there and then move on to something new?
