Disclosure Complete Their ‘Caracal’ Trilogy With New “Jaded” Video: Watch
Disclosure may be keeping fans excited with their steady rollout of solid Caracal tracks, but the UK brothers are now ready to complete the mini film trilogy for the upcoming album. Following “Holding On” and “Omen,” the production duo have now released today (September 15) the final installment of the trilogy — the visual for their new single, “Jaded.”
Directed by Ryan Hope, the video for “Jaded” finds the return of the film’s heroine Mariella. Set in an ominous futuristic dystopia, she is taken into a confrontation room to undergo hypnosis by a mystery old man. Mariella then quickly transforms into Howard Lawrence, the youngest Disclosure brother who actually provided the vocals for the bubbly pop-inspired tune. Towards the end, the victims of the hypnosis aim to take revenge on the leader. (Be on the lookout for a quick Sam Smith cameo!)
Along with previously-heard tracks like “Bang That,” the Sam Smith-assisted “Omen,” “Holding On” with Gregory Porter, Kwabs on “Willing & Able,” Lion Babe-featured “Hourglass” and “Moving Mountains”featuring Brendan Riley, Disclosure’s LP has collaborations with Miguel, Lorde (“Magnets”) and pop’s man du jour — The Weeknd.
