Demi Lovato Looks Super “Confident” On Her New Single Cover

It’s official! “Confident” is the second single from Demi Lovato’s similarly-titled fifth LP. Produced by Ilya and Max Martin, the irresistible pop anthem finds the 23-year-old in a particularly naughty mood. “It’s time to get the chains out, is your tongue tied up?” Demetria demands over furious beats. “Cause this is my ground and I’m dangerous.” Think Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” meets Katy Perry’s “Peacock.” In other words, it’s amazing and sounds like a smash.

Demi isn’t playing this era. “Cool For The Summer” recently peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 after her sizzling performance at the MTV VMAs and is currently sitting pretty at number four on pop radio. Without the seasonal limitations of that bop, “Confident” could do even better. It’s certainly catchy enough. One listen and you’ll be asking “what’s wrong with being confident?” The Disney diva’s new LP drops October 15.
