Watch Travi$ Scott Rip Through “Antidote” On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’
Maybe-Rihanna boyfriend. Maybe-Kanye ghost writer. Maybe-biter. Maybe-production prodigy. These are some of the descriptors that get affixed to Travi$ Scott. The young T.I.– and Kanye-approved artist has attracted a fervent following and equally rabid detractors over the past two years, but there’s no “maybe” when it comes to his appeal as a live performer. Dude knows how to put on a raucous rager that makes words like “lit” and “turnt” seem laughably inadequate. And Scott brought that wild energy to the relatively staid world of late night TV, performing his Rodeo cut “Antidote” on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday (September 22).
The backdrop was a red-lit Western landscape, and even though it’s a fairly laid back Auto-Tune crooner, Scott had the crowd pogoing from the first note. By the end there was a legit mosh pit, and I can’t even remember the last time I’ve seen that happen on a network TV appearance.
