Two years ago, Sara Bareilles found her hit single “Brave” and its parent album The Blessed Unrest nominated for two Grammys. The California girl has kept quite busy since then, as she’s got a book, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) In Song, (out October 6) on the way, as well as a new album, What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress (out November 6).

So what exactly is Waitress, you might wonder? Turns out it’s a forthcoming Broadway musical set to hit NYC’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre in April 2016. Taking a cue from fellow pop luminaries who’ve penned music for the Great White Way in recent years, like Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), Cyndi Lauper (Kinky Boots) and Gary Barlow (Finding Neverland), Sara’s new album contains tracks she wrote for Waitress, which is currently being work-shopped in Cambridge, Massachusetts through this weekend.

The first single from the project, “She Used To Be Mine,” will premiere tomorrow (September 25) when it hits iTunes.
