Skylar Grey’s “Cannonball”: Listen To Her Collaboration With X Ambassadors
Way back in 2012, Skylar Grey released her Eminem pair-up “C’Mon Let Me Ride,” a #thirsty attempt at a pop hit that was so not Skylar Grey that the whole ordeal threatened to sabotage the legit singer-songwriter’s credibility. Since then she released her debut LP, Don’t Look Down, banged out a few more collaborations and, most recently, contributed “I Know You” to the Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack and “I Will Return” to Furious 7.
So here we are now with brand new single “Cannonball,” a moody little guitar-driven number that, despite the employment of whistling and handclaps, seems like an appropriate fit for Grey. Skylar’s fellow KIDinaKORNER label mates X Ambassadors co-wrote and feature on the track, while Alex Da Kid handles production.
