JoJo Serves Side-Boob & Vocal Bliss In A Cappella “When Love Hurts” Video
JoJo unveiled the video for “When Love Hurts” on MTV earlier today (September 28) and dragged us back to the ’90s with a flawless vogueing display. The 24-year-old now shares an alternate, a cappella version of the Patrick “Embryo” Tapu-directed visual — and it’s every bit as captivating as the first. The comeback queen shows off the full range of her powerful pipes, hitting notes that most of contemporaries don’t even know exist. I desperately need to hear a full version of this!
With the video(s) for “When Love Hurts” in the can, JoJo can now get to work on the visuals for “Say Love” and “Save My Soul.” “I’m working with same director for all three of them,” she told me in August. “I have such a great relationship with him. We’ve been working very closely for the last couple months — sending images back and forth, and trying to do something cohesive, but different with each of them.”
