Alana Thompson (A.K.A. Honey Boo Boo) Drops Debut Single “Movin’ Up”: Watch The Video
Move over, Demi and Selena! Alana Thompson (otherwise known as Honey Boo Boo) is the new princess of pop! The 10-year-old teams up with YouTuber Adam Barta and sister Lauryn Shannon (A.K.A. Pumpkin) for debut single “Movin’ Up.” Produced by LA On The Track, the reality TV star sings/shouts (sometimes indecipherably) about her well-documented life over tinny beats. It’s not quite as edgy as Sophia Grace’s “Best Friends,” but it’s cute enough.
“I’m just a small town girl, living in my princess world,” she begins, before trying to usher in her own dance craze on the chorus: “Movin’ on up, everybody everybody do the Honey Boo Boo bop.” If you’re wondering what that entails, the pre-teen gives a demonstration in the video. Keep an eye out for the rest of Alana’s family in the visual. Mama June makes an appearance as does her father Mike Thompson.
