Carly Rae Jepsen's latest video is a carefree joyride.

Carly Rae Jepsen is expanding her career — well, shrinking it — to fit the small screen! The E·MO·TION pop star is the latest addition to FOX’s Grease: Live television musical.

Jepsen will be portraying notorious beauty-school dropout Frenchy, one of the members of the Pink Ladies crew from the timeless 1978 film (we’ll pretend the 1982 sequel doesn’t exist). The rest of the cast has already been booked: Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, Keke Palmer as Marty and Pitch Perfect‘s Kether Donohue as Jan.

Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit (Les Misérables) lead the adaption’s ensemble as high school sweethearts Sandy and Danny, while Jessie J will open the show with a performance of “Grease (Is The Word).”

Live TV musicals may become the new trend, as NBC is set to air a live adaptation of The Wiz on December 3 featuring Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah and (maybe) Beyonce.

Look out for Grease: Live when it airs on Fox on January 31 at 7 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed, and relive the classic “Beauty School Drop-Out” tune below.
