Ciara, Joe Jonas & Nicole Scherzinger on NBC's confusing new show.

Sometimes-pop star/sometimes-TV personality Nicole Scherzinger waded into the scandalous waters of the The Wendy Williams Show yesterday, where she ended up discussing her co-hosting gig on NBC’s new variety program Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris and her love life. Wendy then inevitably veered the conversation toward Scherzinger’s former stint in The Pussycat Dolls. And, kids, Williams went there.

“Do you keep in touch with those girls? Be honest,” Wendy asked. “Or are they hating on your because you’re the only one who’s relevant?”

Ouch. Nicole provided what seemed like an honest response. “We actually weren’t always close, because, you know, they didn’t even put sleep in our schedules,” the singer explained. “So we were like a family and got on each other’s nerves. But now that time has passed, now we actually keep in touch. Kim [Wyatt] just had a baby! You grow up.”

Scherzy wrapped up her explanation by noting that she’s “in touch with most of them,” and threw a little side-eye on the word “most.”

Williams added that’s it’s likely also easy for Scherzinger to be happy for her former bandmates, since she’s now working on a hit show — or, as Nicole exclaimed, “Because I’m famous, people!”
