Janet Jackson's 'Unbreakable': Album Review
Read our thoughts on the entertainer's long-awaited comeback.

Among the midst of heavyweight pop stars that Idolator typically covers, we occasionally stumble upon some pretty awesome musical gems that emerge from the usual realm. The latest comes from Sofi de la Torre, whose video for new single “Mess” we are premiering on Idolator today (October 2).

The rainbow-colored visual, which the Spanish singer-songwriter directed and produced herself, finds her nonchalantly cruising through various subway stations. It is glitchy, slightly random, uncontrived and totally embodies the sparkling yet casual electronic vibes of the tune itself.

Sofi had this to say about her new video:

“For the ‘Mess’ video I kept it so simple — it’s silly! I grabbed my manager, gave him the camera and jumped from subway station to subway station telling him to just film. It’s spontaneous and a little chaotic but aims to be just that. With both the song and the visuals it is what it is: a jumpy, fun mess.”

“Mess” (co-written with Sofi’s long-term Finnish producer Jonas Karlsson and songwriter Axel Ehnström) is the lead single of the singer’s forthcoming EP of the same name. It follows stunning tracks like “Lovers Work Late” and July’s “What People Do.” Look out for it on November 20th and get into her new video up top.
