Taylor Swift reunited with the only act for whom she's opened on a major tour.

It was bound to happen at some point during Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour: Last night (October 3) she brought out Charli XCX during her second concert at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Of course, they sang “Boom Clap.” After all, that Platinum single was what introduced Charli to the masses as a solo artist, after she built a reputation for writing hits (Icona Pop‘s “I Love It”) and hooks (Iggy Azalea‘s “Fancy”) for everyone else.

While “Boom Clap” is one of Charli’s most romantic hits, Taylor tries singing with as much verve and attitude as the Sucker singer typically displays. It doesn’t quite work, though Charli clearly appreciated her efforts.

Charli has been performing here and there since she backed out of her joint tour with Bleachers. Mostly, however, she has been working on her follow-up to Suckeran electronic party album inspired by Paris Hilton. Watch her now-rare live appearance with Taylor below.
