Drake’s “Hotline Bling” Video Out This Week
Drake announced at Austin City Limits last night (October 10) that he will release his “Hotline Bling” video this week, according to SPIN. His timing is impeccable: After being covered by Disclosure and Sam Smith, remixed by Erykah Badu and praised by Lorde, the dancehall-influenced remix of D.R.A.M.‘s “Cha Cha” just hit No. 3 on the Hot 100 — its highest position yet since its July release.
Drake also assured the festival’s second weekend crowd that his fourth album Views From the 6 will be his main focus for the remainder of 2015, according to Complex. But first, he had to bring out longtime pal and surprise guest J. Cole for a brief though memorable set, which included his guest verse on Jeremih‘s euphoric “Planes”—the second Saturday in a row that Drake closed out Austin City Limits with a high-profile guest.
