Mylene Farmer Announces 'Interstellaires'
Mylene Farmer's 10th studio LP 'Interstellaires' will be released in North America.

European pop queen Mylene Farmer joins forces with Sting on “Stolen Car,” the lead single from 10th studio LP Interstellaires (due November 6 via Cherrytree Records/Interscope). Produced by “Fade Out Lines” hitmaker The Avener, the evocative duet is a cover of The Police frontman’s 2003 single “Stolen Car (Take Me Dancing).” Only now it’s a sultry mid-tempo electro-ballad with French and English lyrics — and a suitably steamy video clip.

Directed by Bruno Aveillan, the stylish visual was filmed in Paris, between the piers of the Seine river, in the vicinity of Notre Dame De Paris and at the Hotel Royal Moceau. In other words, it’s a visual feast. As for a plot? Sting plays a rich man and a poor man and their lives inevitably intersect. At least that’s how I interpret it. Mylene plays the love interest and gets romantic with the rocker in a car and hotel room. The track recently debuted at number one in France, becoming the legendary diva’s 14th chart-topper. Watch up top.
