Demi Lovato's 'Confident': Album Review
Read our thoughts on the singer's perplexing album.

One Direction‘s fifth LP Made In The A.M. is right around the corner, and today (October 16) the UK lads have released their follow-up to tunes like “Drag Me Down” & “Infinity” with “Perfect.”

The album’s second single is a swelling ballad that at first glance seems like a love song. But if you listen closer to the lyrics (“But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms/ And if you like having secret little rendezvous/ If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do/ Baby, I’m perfect”), the band is revealing a bit more of a “bad boy” vibe. It makes sense though, as the song is reportedly a response to Taylor Swift‘s “Style” (who is Harry Styles‘ ex-girlfriend).

Along with releasing “Perfect,” 1D have shared behind-the-scenes photos from their Sophie Muller-directed video shoot, which took place at NYC’s Intercontinental Hotel in Times Square. Look out for the official video in the coming weeks!

Made In The A.M., which comes after last November’s Four, marks 1D’s first project since Zayn Malik’s departure. It will be officially released on November 13 via Syco/Columbia, the same day as Justin Bieber’s Purpose LP — some healthy competition should be fun!
