OMI Interview
Get to know OMI, one of the newest artists on the rise, via our Popping Up feature.

OMI‘s debut Me 4 U album is officially out now, and the rising Jamaican artist is kicking in his mainstream promo run. The singer’s latest stop was early this morning (October 19), where he performed for the NYC audience.

A sharply-dressed OMI sung his latest single “Hula Hoop” while the Today hosts showed off their hip-swiveling hoop skills and also performed the ubiquitous “Cheerleader” tune. He also chatted with Al Roker on his rapid success: “I’m doing what I love and being successful at it. It’s more than you can ask for.”

Me 4 U was released on October 19 via Ultra/Louder Than Life/Columbia Records and features “Hula Hoop,” “Cheerleader” and “Stir It.” Watch OMI’s Today performances below.
