Jay Z rarely does television show appearances, but it is always an entertaining time when he decides to pop up! The rap legend stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (October 20) ahead of his TIDAL X: 1020 concert.
A jovial Hova discussed old Brooklyn, his first TV gig, cracked pizza jokes on wife Beyonce and also shared a fun story about he having a lunchroom rap battle with Busta Rhymes (they attended the same high school in Brooklyn) that he capped off with his signature laugh.
Along with the interview, Jimmy Kimmel Live partnered with Tidal to stream Jay Z’s performance of 2009 “Empire State of Mind.” Watch that, as well as the interview clips, below.
