Adele Lands A Knock-Out Blow With “Hello”: Listen To The Future Smash
It turns out Adele’s new music was well and truly worth the wait. Four years after demolishing the music industry with mega-selling opus 21, the Brit returns with “Hello” — the first taste of third LP 25 (due November 20). And it’s a monster of a pop song. “Hello it’s me, I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet to go over everything,” she begins the power ballad over simple piano. “They say that time’s supposed to heal you.”

So much for the Grammy winner finding some inner peace. Adele sounds every bit as tortured as she was on 21 as she ruthlessly dissects a failed relationship. The “Rolling In The Deep” hitmaker lays her heart on the line as she speaks her truth, which culminates in the kind of spine-tingling chorus that helped her last album sell more than 10 million copies in the US alone.
