Back before he was the king of the charts, and only plotting that rise, The Weeknd was arrested for allegedly punching a police officer in the head. The incident went down in January at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas, where the singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, was involved in a fight. A cop allegedly tried to break it up by separating Tesfaye, when he struck the police officer in the head.

The Weeknd this week pleaded no contest, and in exchange, he’ll have to pay $1,000 to an injured cop fund, undergo anger management, complete an alcohol evaluation and do 50 hours of community service, according to TMZ. If he completes all that and avoids any further legal issues, the site reports the case will be dismissed.
