Justin Bieber Remixes Drake’s “Hotline Bling”
Now you can imagine what it’s like to call Justin Bieber on his cell phone.
Yesterday (October 30) the Canadian hit-maker premiered his remix of Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” the second biggest song in the country right now. To hear it, though, you had to call (213) 322-1113. Justin’s rendition is a lo-fi recording, which is all the better to imagine that he’s singing to you personally on the other line.
Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” a remix in of itself to D.R.A.M.‘s “Cha Cha” (and don’t let him tell you otherwise), is about the rapper reminiscing over a past hookup who now seems completely over him. Meanwhile, Justin whimpers as he sings of being cheated on: “I know you called him on his cell phone / when you couldn’t reach my love.”
