Ariana Grande's lead 'Moonlight' single gets reviewed by Idolator editors.

Ariana Grande features a male vocalist in her new single “Focus,” though initially she didn’t say who it was. Then last night (October 30), almost (but not quite) 24 hours since the song’s release, Ariana did a Q&A for iHeartRadio’s Honda Stage before performing a six-song set.

Fans wanted to know exactly who does the hook in “Focus,” so Ariana caved and said that it is none other than Jamie Foxx, according to iHeartRadio.

With the way the singer evokes funk hero James Brown, some wondered if New Orleans rapper Mystikal was responsible. (Remember, he was recently featured on Mark Ronson‘s “Feel Right.”) But that almost seemed too obvious. Keep in mind that for the whispered hook in  “Problem,” Ariana almost recruited Ying Yang Twins but instead had Big Sean do his best imitation.

The lead Moonlight single isn’t Jamie’s return to music, though — that would be his fifth album Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses, which was released on May 15 and hit No. 10 on the Billboard 200. With how “Focus” is charting so far, his brief cameo will likely be the bigger look.

Below, watch Ariana Grande’s “Focus” get its live debut at iHeartRadio’s Honda Stage.
