Demi Lovato mixes it up with varying results on new album 'Confident.'

Sleigh Bells accused Demi Lovato of ripping off two tracks from their critically acclaimed 2010 LP Treats on Twitter this morning (November 2). “Flattered you guys sampled Infinity Guitars & Riot Rhythm for “Stars” but we were not contacted,” the noise-pop duo wrote. “Gotta clear those.” While it seems unlikely that a pop star would blatantly steal beats post “Blurred Lines” judgement, they do sound alike.

However, the duo’s tweet might have been directed at the wrong party. The Disney diva has a writing credit on the (very good) Confident bonus track, but producers Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub would be in a better place to explain any similarities. Demi has yet to respond to the accusations on Twitter. Her fifth LP recently debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. See Sleigh Bells’ tweet and compare the songs below.
