Adele's "Hello" Is #1 All Over The World
In case you've been living under a rock, Adele is back in a big way.

Adele is currently sitting on top of the world, and so any Adele-adjacent songs must have a mild curiosity factor built in — even if they were rejected by Adele — right?

Whatever the case may be, the second song to be released off Sia‘s forthcoming album This Is Acting is, like the Australian hit-maker’s current single “Alive,” another one Adele took a pass on. After a few listens, it’s clear that “Bird Set Free” isn’t exactly a game-changer for either singer. But if anything, the track should keep the Sia faithful satisfied now that it’s seeing the light of day.

“I was on a session with [Adele] for her record,” Sia told Ryan Seacrest in September. “And so we wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut.”

Later in the interview, she added that Adele did record “Bird Set Free,” but “at the last minute she was like, ‘Everybody’s just saying it sounds like a Sia song’.”

Give “Bird Set Free” a listen below.
