Gwen Stefani is in the full swing of promoting both The Voice and her single “Used To Love You,” which, she said on Live With Kelly And Michael today, she “only wrote like three or four weeks ago.”

Another takeaway from her appearance on the breakfast TV show: Gwen has been on quite a prolific streak since splitting from husband Gavin Rossdale over the summer.

“You know what’s weird about this writing that I’ve been doing lately is I was so blocked for so long,” Gwen told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. “And all of a sudden I feel like there’s a channel that opened up. I think I have 20 songs — I’ve written them in less than two months.”

Stefani’s last solo album, The Sweet Escape, arrived nearly nine years ago, in December 2006. Since then, she and the rest of No Doubt chucked out under-performing comeback album Push And Shove in 2012, and Gwen herself released two singles prior to “Used To Love You” last year, “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark The Fire.”
