Enya’s ‘Dark Sky Island’: Listen To Clips Of Each Album Track
In October, Enya‘s first album in seven years, Dark Sky Island was announced, and lead single “Echoes In Rain” was released. With the LP’s November 20 release date just two-and-a-half weeks off, an album sampler featuring clips of each track found on the standard edition was popped online today.
Having heard the album in its entirety, our personal favorite off Dark Sky Island is the third track, “Even In The Shadows” — the clip found in this sampler only doing the song partial justice.
“It’s, for me, one of the more emotional-journey songs,” Enya said of “Even In The Shadows,” during a recent interview with Idolator. “It’s about love, and where it hasn’t worked out – the anger and disappointment you feel… Everybody goes through it. I’m no different than anybody else… We felt like instead of it being a slow song, it needed more of a beat to accentuate that it will get better.”
