Kanye West Tells Big Boy His Next Album Is “Like A Sonic Painting”

Kanye West called into LA’s Real 92.3 to congratulate legendary hip-hop DJ Big Boy on being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame, and West thanked him for supporting him back when he was transitioning from producer to rapper. And of course Big Boy took the opportunity to ask West about his long-in-the-works Yeezus follow-up.

Ye was cagey as ever when discussing the status of Swish, saying “I don’t wanna overly describe it or overly try to hype it up. I’ve been working slow…Just going in the lab every night. It’s sounding good. It’s like a sonic painting, and it gets better and better every week.”

However, he did reveal that some material that was supposed to end up on his album ended up going to other artists, including “FourFiveSeconds” which he gave to Rihanna and “Tell Your Friends” which landed on The Weeknd‘s latest LP.
