It’s Purpose week, and to kick things off Justin Bieber appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show today (November 9). Actually, he’ll be on the show each day this week getting that soccer mom promo. Last time Bieber was on Ellen, he discussed his then-infamous butt pic, so naturally this time he spoke about the nude photos that surfaced care of paparazzi creepin’ in Bora Bora.

The star previously addressed the images in his Billboard cover story, but Ellen asked him how he didn’t notice a photog creeping around, and Bieber surmised the person must’ve been in a boat before admitting it “wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be.”

Then, Ellen kinda but not really put him on the spot, asking him which songs on the album were inspired by his breakup with Selena Gomez. Bieber reluctantly admitted “Sorry,” “Mark My Words” and “What Do You Mean?” fit the bill, and said he hasn’t ruled out the possibility that he’ll get back together with Gomez at some point after they figure themselves out, but he said he just wants her to be happy. Dude’s saying the right things, so we’re not in Robin Thicke Paula territory yet. To cap it off, he broke out into an acoustic version of “Sorry.”

And finally, Bieber loosened up with the host for a round of “5 Second Rule” because all talk shows are just celebrity game shows now. Watch that below.
