Justin Bieber will be celebrating the release of Purpose on November 13 with a special live event in Los Angeles, and chances are it will give fans a tiny preview of what they’ll see on his forthcoming world tour, which Bieber just announced on Ellen. The star will be heading to over 50 cities for 58 shows starting March 9 in Seattle, and he hilariously forgot that all-important date when he made the big reveal on the chat show.

“I will start this tour…oh gosh, this is the only thing I had to remember.  Do you know? You can go to my website to find out,” he says to the laughing audience. But it wouldn’t come to that, as he and the fans were saved by the show’s post producer, who plopped a “Purpose Tour Begins March 9” graphic onto the screen.

The North American leg of the tour will hit arenas all across the US and Eastern and Western Canada, with two-night stands in Brooklyn, L.A., Chicago and Toronto. It’ll wrap up at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 18.

Fans can pre-order tickets at ellentv.com with the password “ellenjb.” General public tickets go on-sale beginning November 20 at 10 a.m. local time at www.aeglive.com.
