We talk to legends Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe about 'Electric'.

One of the most popular K-pop girl acts in the world will collaborate with one of music’s most lauded, iconic duos on December 2. It was announced today that f(x) will perform on stage with UK pair Pet Shop Boys during the Mnet Asian Music Awards at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. On their official site, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys commented that they’re “delighted” to have the opportunity to perform at this year’s MAMA and to visit Hong Kong again.

Kim Ki Woong, director of this year’s MAMA, said during a press conference today, “We considered which artist would best fit this year’s theme of TechArt. It was during that process that we chose the electronic music group Pet Shop Boys from among overseas artists.”

PSB singer Tennant most recently turned up on stage for two duets with Brandon Flowers in Los Angeles, during the latter’s stop at the Wiltern while promoting solo album The Desired Effect.

In early September, Tennant and Lowe began recording sessions with producer Stuart Price for the upcoming 13th Pet Shop Boys album, which the pair noted could be out as early as March of next year.
