Chairlift Sprint Ahead On “Romeo”: Listen

Carl Williott | November 30, 2015 11:52 am

Following the clattering, catchy new single “Ch-Ching,” Chairlift have returned with second Moth single “Romeo.” It’s got even more frenetic energy than that first cut, but where that one had a choppy chorus, for this track all the elements coalesce into a shimmery singalong refrain.

We recently interviewed the duo, and Caroline Polachek told us when this specific production came together it “was so obviously a beat about running,” and she used it to launch a story about Atalanta, the Greek mythological character who would only marry a man who could beat her in a foot race.

Q&A:: Chairlift discuss Moth's many moving parts

Moth is out January 22 on Columbia Records. Hear the new song below.
