Watch Queen Bee Mariah Carey Face Her Rival In New ‘A Christmas Melody’ Movie Preview
Mariah Carey hasn’t blessed us with her acting skills since 2013’s The Butler, but in a few weeks the diva will make her onscreen return in Hallmark Channel’s A Christmas Melody.
A trailer for the Christmas Queen’s television film aired last week, and over the holiday weekend a new scene surfaced on the web starring Mariah’s character Melissa and Kristen (played by Lacey Chabert) who come face to face with each other after years of being high school rivals.
The scene is only a minute long, but it is enough to bring back Glitter-esque memories with mean girl one-liners like “Melissa McKean-Atkinson. Married now. Twelve glorious years, three children, huge four bedroom, three-and-a-half bath, two story.” But this is Mariah we’re talking about, and the elusive chanteuse knows how to bring the entertainment — cheesy or otherwise.
Watch it for yourself up top, and if the scene gets you in the diva-tastic holiday spirit then look out for A Christmas Melody when it premieres on Hallmark Channel on December 19.
