Jack Garratt Interview
We talk to Jack Garratt about his new EP, touring America & his creative process.

The BBC’s annual Sound Of poll of music journalists and industry figures has a fairly impressive track record of picking future stars. Previous winners include Adele, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Haim and Jessie J, while Lady Gaga, Florence + The Machine, Chvrches and Banks have been shortlisted. The 2016 “longlist” was announced this morning (November 30) and there were no real surprises.

The list is dominated by Brits including 15-year-old YouTube sensation Billie Marten, indie-darling Jack Garratt and South London rapper Loyle Carner. “Here” hitmaker Alessia Cara brings a little international flavor to the mix as do Stockholm-raised diva Mabel (Neneh Cherry’s daughter) and London-via-Kosovo singer/songwriter Dua Lipa. The early favorites appear to much-hyped songbird Frances and NAO, who recently went viral with her “Bad Blood” single.
