St. Lucia Announces Sophomore Album ‘Matter’: See The Tracklist & Listen To New “Physical” Song

For those of you eagerly waiting for St. Lucia‘s album details ever since he dropped “Dancing On Glass” (his first single in two years) in October — well, today is an exciting one! The artist has unveiled the release date and tracklist for his upcoming sophomore album, Matter.

The project, which will drop on January 29 via Columbia Records, features “Dancing On Glass” as well as new single “Physical” in which frontman Jean-Philip Grobler describes it in a press release as “giving up control in a sexual situation and having an intimate experience that is purely carnal in nature. The music and lyrics develop together: a minimal and tight first half of the song makes way for a lush coda, just as the ‘physical’ experience moves from tension to release.”

He also compares Matter to the band’s first LP by saying “if the last album sounded like the tropics, this album is the desert.” View the LP tracklist and North American tour dates below. If interested, click here to pre-order St. Lucia’s Matter.
