Coldplay's 'A Head Full Of Dreams': Album Review
We dissect the UK rockers' seventh & possibly final LP.

We’ve finally reached the weekend, Idolator readers! The past few days were filled with major music moments, which kicked off with Adele announcing her first leg of her 2016 world tour.

The UK starlet also shattered the charts as 25 sold 3.38 million in its first week, Sinead O’Connor posted a reported suicide note on Facebook, Coldplay will be headlining the Super Bowl halftime and Iggy Azalea briefly returned to Twitter after Erykah Badu called her out at the 2015 Soul Train Awards.

On Idolator’s end, we graded all three of Adele’s albums, reviewed Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams LP, interviewed Melanie Martinez, Zara LarssonKita Alexander and Ty Dolla $ign, posted a timeline of Rihanna‘s year in ANTI and dropped part two of our Best Albums (July Through December) poll — be sure to vote for your favorite one by clicking here!

And of course, our readers spoke their minds on the going-ons in the frantic music world. Read some of the best and shadiest comments below!

:: Brandon Woods seems like the only patient one on Rihanna’s ‘Anti’: Yahoo’s Premature, Accidentally-Published Review Is The Best Thing You Missed Online This Thankgsiving: “Ya’ll know that when you beg someone so much to do something it makes them not want to do it. Thats probably y she hasn’t dropped the album yet. Just saying.”

:: We agree with Jay on Adele’s ’25’ Sold 3.38 Million Copies During Its First Week In The United States: “If any of today’s artists were to beat N’Sync’s record, I’m glad it was Adele and no one else.”

:: He also schooled the kids on Erykah Badu Disses Iggy Azalea At The 2015 Soul Train Awards: Watch: “Of course the younger generation have no idea who Erykah Badu is. Most kids don’t branch out beyond music played on the radio. Erykah Badu may not have success these days but her legacy and accomplishments are far more substantial. Just because an artist doesn’t have hit singles or album doesn’t take away from their music credibility, and Erykah Badu has plenty.”

:: While Lay said this: “so lame and unnecessary af. Iggy hasnt even been in the news or making music lately, this bish must need promotion for a new project or something (just checked and this erykah Bawho person does have indeed a new project out this week – color me surprised). watch her cry equality or racism once karma catches up with her petty ass. meanwhile she’s putting other women down who are simply doing what they’re passionated about..”

:: James made us LOL on Watch Queen Bee Mariah Carey Face Her Rival In New ‘A Christmas Melody’ Movie Preview: “Oh no mariah… i will stan for you musically to infinity and beyond, but acting? No can do. Just like Jennifer Lopez needs to stop with the music thing, mariah needs to stop with the acting”

:: Lastly, Ice Warrior kept it real on Iggy Azalea Updates Fans On The Status Of Her Sophomore LP: “2014 accomplishments? One annoying song that only went to number 1 because of the high school white girls streaming it on repeat? Get real.”

:: And dcruz87 had a long list of receipts: “One annoying song that pulled over 10 million units worldwide in 2014, became the longest running #1 for a female rapper on the Hot 100, the longest running #1 on Billboard’s rap songs chart, was Grammy nominated, won a bunch of other awards and accolades, was the most watched video and most streamed song last year as well etc etc etc. And it wasn’t just ONE song. Did you forget she held the #1 and #2 positions for like over a month matching the Beatles feat of sending the first chart entries directly to the top spots? Not to mention at one point she also had THREE songs in the top ten at the same time. Also had like several number ones on the different radio formats (pop, rhythmic and urban), was the most searched musician on google in the US in 2014, was invited to perform in multiple prestigious events, won a bunch of awards (and was nominated for big stuff like Best New Artist at the Grammys too) and broke several records/got accolades that no other Australian or simply non-American rapper had gotten ANYWHERE near before (not to mention as a white female rapper) like getting her album #1 on the rap charts and getting sales certifcations in multiple markets including the US when albums are barely selling period. And I’m sure I’m forgetting a BUNCH of other stuff.. Girl, YOU get real.”
