Ever since the messy “Blurred Lines” lawsuit from earlier this year, pop acts (Rihanna, Demi Lovato vs. Sleigh Bells, Drake vs. D.R.A.M., Jay ZThe Weeknd, Ariana Grande, etc) have been hit with various plagiarism accusations — and the latest culprit to be slapped with allegations is Adele.

According to The IndependentThe UK chanteuse is being accused by Ahmet Kaya‘s fanbase of ripping off the Kurdish-Turkish singer’s 1985 song “Acilara Tutunmak (Clinging to Pain)” for her 25 track — “Million Years Ago.” There is no word from Kaya’s camp if a copyright trial will emerge from this, as he passed away 15 years ago.

Both are slow, yearning lovelorn ballads yet the accusations of blatant similarities seem to be a stretch. But judge for yourselves by listening to a comparison of Adele and Kaya’s tracks below.
