Troye Sivan Interview
Troye Sivan talks his debut LP, moving video trilogy and being an out pop star.

Troye Sivan made his US television debut last night (December 8) with an impressive performance of “Youth” The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The 20-year-old began a little awkwardly with his back to the camera, but soon found his groove — delivering the lyrics with laser-like precision. (He even danced like only a couple of million people were watching). The overall effect was extremely endearing and the simple neon lighting, which the singer/songwriter used on tour, looked great on the small screen.

The Australian newcomer recently dropped his debut LP Blue Neighbourhood to near-universal praise. Preceded by a moving video trilogy, the album documents Troye’s journey into adulthood over a deeply textured collection of lean synth-pop anthems. It’s expected to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 later this week — a feat EPs TRXYE and Wild also achieved. Watch
