Iggy Azalea Reveals Title Of Lead Single From Upcoming Album
Iggy Azalea‘s lead single for her sophomore album Digital Distortion is titled “Team,” she told fans on Twitter on December 26.
This isn’t some #squadgoals anthem, or even a song dedicated to her Grand Hustle label boss T.I. According to her, it’s a banger (“20% meaningful 70% bop 10% ratchet”) about being self-sufficient — “ive got my own back, i iam [sic] my own team.”
Based on how she describes it, “Team” seems very similar in theme and sound to that of “7teen,” the song that she previewed from the studio earlier this month. But it you consider all the criticism that she has endured since her 2014 debut The New Classic, justified or otherwise, Iggy’s approach to her new music makes sense.
