Janet Jackson Shuts Down Cancer Rumors: Read Her Statement
Yesterday (January 6), rumors began to swirl about Janet Jackson‘s health condition after she postponed her Unbreakable World Tour. According to Radar Online, the singer underwent vocal cord surgery and was being tested for throat cancer. But now she is speaking up and shutting those reports down.
Janet hopped on social media to update fans on her condition with this statement: “Remember… believe it when you hear it from my lips. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.”
The “BURNITUP!” artist preceded her message with a clip from Unbreakable‘s “The Great Forever,” which includes relevant lyrics like “Sources say but where ya gettin’ it / Don’t create the truth you like.” View her statement below.
