David Bowie’s “Lazarus” Video Continues The Dark Aesthetic Of His ‘Blackstar’ Era: Watch
David Bowie‘s “Lazarus” video is yet another collaboration with director Johan Renck, who previously lensed the rock legend’s “Blackstar” video and directed British crime series The Last Panthers, which featured a shortened version of “Blackstar” atop the opening credits. We won’t even attempt to decipher what’s going on in this visual after just one viewing — and chances are, we may never truly get it. That’s just the way the Thin White Duke’s creative mind rolls.
“Lazarus” (also the title of the current, limited-run off-Broadway show featuring Bowie’s music and Michael C. Hall in the lead role) is the second single off new album ★ (or Blackstar). You can grab it tomorrow (January 8).
