It’s been a huge week for Meghan Trainor. The 22-year-old’s debut LP Title sold its one millionth copy in the US and earned her Favorite Album at last night’s (January 6) People’s Choice Awards. She also revealed the title of her sophomore LP in an interview with E! News. “[It’s] amazing to finally wrap it up,” she said of the opus. “It kills you to hold these songs from the world, it really does. Especially, one of my songs, it’s called ‘Thank You,’ which the album is called, Thank You, and it’s a song to my fans. I want them to hear it now but I have to wait.”

Thank You has a lot to live up to. The Nantucket native’s debut LP spawned three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (2014 chart-topper “All About That Bass,” “Lips Are Movin” and John Legend duet “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”) and generated significant critical acclaim including three Grammy nominations. If commercial success is a major factor in the voting, Meghan’s got Best New Artist in the bag.
