Fantasia Leaves The Haters Behind On New Single “No Time For It”: Listen
Fantasia Barrino announced new single “No Time For It” on social media earlier this week. Produced by Brian Kennedy (Rihanna’s “Disturbia” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Mr. Know It All”), the catchy mid-tempo anthem arrived on iTunes today (January 8) and it finds the season three American Idol winner clapping back at haters in a supremely calm manner. “I don’t care for gossip. What they gonna say?” she sings serenely. “Just got off the plane, I’m strictly focused on commas and dollars signs in my pockets.”
The 31-year-old emphasizes that she won’t entertain any negativity in the chorus (“you wanna tell me how it is, but there’s no time for it”) before getting fired up towards the end of the song (“bitch, no time for the haters tripping”). Fantasia has always been the realest, so it’s great to hear her telling it like is. Again. “No Time For It” is the first taste of the R&B diva’s much-anticipated fifth LP. Listen below.
