Miley's "Sad Christmas Song"
Miley Cyrus presented a gift to fans on Christmas Eve, featuring the Flaming Lips.

Two years ago Miley Cyrus covered Lana Del Rey‘s “Summertime Sadness” for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. The Bangerz superstar re-imagined the Lynchian Born to Die as a twinkling country ballad, singing Lana’s morose lyrics with a hint of optimism in her voice.

Now Miley is covering “Video Games” for her Instagram followers, because the song was stuck in her head. Her approach to Lana’s 2011 breakthrough hit is the same as for “Summertime Sadness,” only this time she is singing in bed and the footage is grainy. (Miley wasn’t inspired by the old-fashioned slideshow feel of the “Video Games” clip; she hashtagged the post #cleanyoscreenbitch.) Watch below.
