Iggy Azalea Teases Second ‘Digital Distortion’ Buzz Track “Middle Man”

Iggy Azalea promised to deliver new music today (January 14) and she came through in the early hours of the morning with a snippet of “Middle Man.” The second buzz track from sophomore LP Digital Distortion finds the Australian rapper in a combative mood. The 25-year-old touches on the mayhem of the last 12 months (she’s still the realest) over a spooky beat courtesy of production collective D.R.U.G.S. (Dirty Rotten Underground Sound).

“Middle Man” is a change of pace from the catchy, upbeat “AZILLION.” It’s a reminder that, contrary to Twitter trolls and click-hungry music writers, Iggy can indeed rap. A point the producers make at the end of the snippet (below) when they sarcastically call it “the best pop song.” The full version is expected to arrive imminently, followed by official lead single “Team.”
