Paramore Bassist Jeremy Davis Quits
There is now only one of the four founding member left in the band: Hayley Williams.

It’s been nearly three years since the release of Paramore‘s last album, and the band recently suffered the setback of yet another founding member quitting — bassist Jeremy Davis departed in December — but there’s a bit of hope for the now-duo: Late last night, frontwoman Hayley Williams tweeted that writing is underway for Paramore’s next LP.

A fan on Twitter asked, “I think u should say something about a new album, don’t you?!” This prompted Williams to respond, “haha, i suppose. we are writing it.”

Paramore’s most recent studio album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in April 2013 and contained the Top 10 single “Ain’t It Fun.”

Davis and Williams formed Paramore with brothers Josh and Zac Farro in 2004, in Franklin, Tennessee. Guitarist Taylor York, the other current remaining member of the band along with Williams, later joined in 2007. The Farro brothers left in December 2010 amid some controversy with regards to the reasoning for their exit.

With three of the band’s four founding members now having peaced-out, at the very least it will be interesting to hear what new sound, if any, gets cooked up for the band’s fifth album.
