Iggy Azalea Responds To Macklemore’s “White Privilege II” Name-Check
It didn’t take long for Iggy Azalea to catch wind of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ new This Unruly Mess I’ve Made track “White Privilege II,” which deals with, among other topics, cultural appropriation.
Macklemore muses on the song, “You’ve exploited and stolen the music, the moment, the magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with / The culture was never yours to make better / You’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea.”
Granted, Macklemore seems to be pointing out criticism he himself has received for topping the charts, selling millions of albums and winning Grammys for his hip-pop tunes. But that didn’t stop one fan of Azalea’s for alerting her on Twitter that the Seattle rapper seemed to be dissing her in the track.
@lggysBae he shouldnt have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events etc if those were his feelings

Whatever the case may be, Iggy doesn’t seemed to be as bothered by this as she is with her own label for refusing to produce a video for her buzz track “AZILLION.”
